Evaluation of the 2005 Mangusta 108 Yacht “TOTAL”

The 2005 Mangusta 108, known as “TOTAL,” exemplifies luxury yachting at its finest. A centrally positioned bar with a 50-inch pop-up TV acts as a divider between the salon and the control area, making it an ideal space for social gatherings or watching sports. The control area includes three captain’s seats and cutting-edge navigational tools to ensure safe and efficient operation.

Guest Roosts Below Deck

The lower deck comprises four opulent staterooms, each crafted for utmost comfort and seclusion. The queen cabin on the port side features a 24” TV, a closet, and an ensuite head complete with a marble sink and spacious shower. The VIP cabin includes a walk-around queen bed, a 40” TV, and a sizable shower equipped with a rain showerhead and a bench seat. The master stateroom is a luxurious retreat, complete with a king bed, a 50” TV, and a walk-in closet with glass-fronted drawers. The master restroom is equally impressive, featuring a vanity, a generous rain shower, and a marble sink.

Staff Quarters and Galley

The galley is outfitted with brand-new Miele appliances, including a washer, dryer, convection oven, and induction cooking hob. Engine Room and Systems

The engine room can be accessed through two deck hatches on the aft deck and is efficiently organized for straightforward access to all equipment. The yacht is driven by two Kohler marine generators, each with a capacity of 33 kW. The fuel system features a direct suction from the structural GRP tank through two RACOR fuel pre-filters, supplied by MTU, along with a WESTFALIA OTC2 fuel purifier. The fresh water system boasts tanks with a total capacity of 2,000 liters (528 US gallons) and an IDROMAR watermaker capable of producing 230 liters (60 US gallons) per hour.

Hardware and Safety Features

The deck hardware includes two LOFRANS Ercole Verticale vertical anchor windlasses, each paired with a 125 kg galvanized anchor and lengths of 110 & 125 meters of galvanized chain. The yacht also features a Sanguineti hydraulic gangway and swim ladder, a Sanshin searchlight, and Kahlenberg air horns. Safety provisions encompass two life rafts, rocket parachutes, red flares, floating smoke signals, and life jackets for 21 individuals, including four specifically for children.
