VISIONF Yachts Presents the Innovative E-Cat 80
Transforming Sustainable Yachting
VISIONF Yachts has unveiled its first fully-electric catamaran, the E-Cat 80. This 24-meter boat recently premiered at the high-tech shipyard in Tuzla, representing a major advancement in the realm of eco-friendly yachting.
Made from lightweight yet sturdy carbon fiber, the E-Cat 80 features a stylish, contemporary design by Marco Casali (TOO Design). Its dual hulls, developed by Dr. Amedeo Migali (MICAD), provide superior efficiency and stability on the water.
Cutting-Edge Electric Propulsion
Fitted with a pair of Danfoss electric motors, each delivering 180 kW of continuous power and 340 kW at peak, the E-Cat 80 excels in maneuverability. A bow thruster and stern thruster further improve handling, ensuring effortless navigation even under tough conditions. The catamaran can reach a maximum speed of 16 knots.
The energy system on board is optimized for sustainability. With 54 solar panels producing up to 21.6 kW per hour, the batteries stay continuously charged. This autonomous power arrangement allows for lengthy excursions without depending on external energy sources. Furthermore, twin 150 kW generators supply backup power in emergencies and boost efficiency during high-speed travel.
Ample and Tailorable Interior
With a beam of 10.92 meters and a total length of 23.97 meters, the E-Cat 80 provides spacious living areas. The semi-custom design accommodates up to 12 guests in luxurious style. Dedicated crew quarters for four, plus a private crew mess, ensure smooth operation and convenience.
Aimed at both private ownership and charter activities, the catamaran includes a fully adaptable garage. This area can be equipped with a range of water sports equipment, such as jet skis, sea scooters, scuba gear, tenders, and water skiing apparatus, appealing to adventure seekers.
A New Chapter for Electric Catamarans
The launch of the E-Cat 80 underscores VISIONF Yachts’ dedication to innovation within the catamaran market. This model signifies a notable leap in sustainable yachting, blending state-of-the-art technology with luxury and performance.
With the first unit scheduled for imminent delivery, further models in this groundbreaking series are already under development, heralding a new chapter in environmentally-conscious yachting.
