Description
The Monarch 450 is one of the latest designs from Overing Yacht Designs (OYD). The design brief was to create a mid-40’s express unparalleled in volume, comfort and seakeeping within the express style yacht. The 450 offers greater volume than any other “Picnic/Down eastern” style production boat in her size range!
The M450 excels in creature comforts with a luxurious interior and standard choice of oak, cherry or teak interior packages. The salon will comfortably seat 6 all together around a teak drop-leaf table. The galley features a large stainless corner sink that will easily accommodate large pots and pans. Just aft is the 30″ cooktop, two – drawer styleref/freezers and optional 18 bottle wine cooler. To further enhance cold storage there is an optional 7-cu.ft. chest freezer. Also as options are a clear ice maker and drawer beverage cooler in the cockpit bar. The cockpit area is large and roomy with dining alfresco for 6 and just aft is an integrated boarding platform.
The two stateroom layout provides unmatched volume enabling large spacious cabins and bath including a large rainfall shower and Tecma toilet, features typically found on yachts much larger. Features such as 500 gallon standard fuel capacity with an optional 100 gallon auxiliary fuel tank give the M450 extended range and endurance well above the norm. The 450 is built using high-tech infused epoxy/vinylester with a bullet-proof solid laminate hull bottom and foam cored hull sides, decks and cabin resulting in an incredibility strong and lightweight yacht. All this combined with the proprietary OYD Soft Ride Hull results in a superior sea-boat capable of a greater cruising range at a level of comfort far exceeding her competition.
With an extensive option list and the ability to customize each 450 to the specific needs of the owner, the Monarch 450 is in a league of her own. Several engine options are available as well as conventional propulsion with semi-tunnels to keep the draft unchanged. Please inquire for your specific needs and requirements. Build time on average is 12 months.
