Columbus Yachts Introduces M/Y Frette: An Exemplar of Elegance and Artistry

Columbus Yachts has unveiled fresh images of M/Y Frette, the second iteration in its esteemed Atlantique collection, set for debut in 2024. This range, spanning from 37 to 65 meters, epitomizes luxury and personalization. Bearing the name of the esteemed Frette brand, famed for its exceptional Italian craftsmanship, the vessel is embellished with Frette Bespoke linens, enhancing its lavish ambiance. More than merely a yacht, Frette represents a custom creation tailored to the distinctive desires of its owner, boasting an interior layout that radiates sophistication and meticulous attention to detail.

Design and Engineering

Extending 43 meters in length, Frette is constructed with a robust steel hull and an elegant aluminum superstructure. It showcases a maximum beam of 9.05 meters and a gross tonnage of 462 GT. The exterior and interior design is attributed to Hot Lab, while the naval engineering is masterfully executed in partnership with Hydro Tec. The overarching design philosophy, known as “Architecture for the Voyager,” aims to craft an optimal maritime setting, ensuring every moment aboard is a lavish experience.

The yacht’s exterior silhouette is sleek and fluid, resembling a carefully fashioned shell devoid of sharp angles or abrupt transitions. This seamless design unites the timeless allure of classic sailing yachts with the contemporary essence of a motor vessel, culminating in a harmonious and commanding aesthetic.

Outdoor Areas and Features

Frette strongly emphasizes the relationship between indoor and outdoor spaces. The yacht boasts expansive exterior areas that encourage guests to fully savor the beauty of the ocean. A highlight is the “sailing” stern, which features a central pool located just 50 centimeters above the waterline. This design is further complemented by foldable side wings, providing an immersive experience that draws guests nearer to the sea.

The outdoor areas of the yacht are adorned with freestanding furnishings, including polished ivory Flexform sofas and loungers, creating a flexible and harmonious atmosphere. This design philosophy ensures that the space remains adaptable and versatile for various social occasions.

Interior Design and Layout

As guests enter the salon, they are welcomed by a modern aesthetic featuring soft, rounded forms and a curated color scheme. Ivory linen sofas and chairs by Paolo Castelli are accentuated by warm wooden finishes, including herringbone-patterned brushed and bleached American walnut parquet. Oak wood panels with diverse textures frame a cutting-edge entertainment system, enhancing the extravagant ambiance.

Throughout the yacht, the layout reveals an owner’s office, equipped with a spacious walk-in closet and a karaoke room for leisure. The interior design blends oak parquet and walnut canaletto finishes with custom pieces from Fendi, creating a sumptuous and tranquil retreat.

Upper Deck and Bow

The galley, situated on the port side, is crafted for practicality and allows access to the crew quarters. The upper deck is tailored for social engagement, featuring a semicircular outdoor seating setup that merges outdoor living with cozy gatherings.

The bow of the yacht offers a generous sun lounge area, enhanced by a panoramic pool that invites guests to unwind in comfort. The sun deck is well-equipped for casual dining and features a barbecue space, ideal for entertainment.

Accommodations

Below deck, Frette provides five luxuriously appointed double cabins, comprising two VIP suites and three twin cabins, each equipped with private bathrooms finished in exquisite Calacatta white marble. The bright design elements in each cabin foster a serene and restful atmosphere for guests.
