Mengi Yay New 35m Explorer Yacht
Mengi Yay Shipyard has launched the Atlante Classic 35, a 35-meter explorer yacht designed for extensive cruising and worldwide travel. This introduction marks the Turkish shipyard’s venture into the private yacht industry, following years of expertise in commercial ship construction.
Design and Capabilities
The Atlante Classic 35 boasts a steel hull combined with an aluminum superstructure, both created by Mengi Yay’s internal design team. Equipped with twin Caterpillar C18 engines, the yacht achieves a maximum speed of 15 knots and sustains a cruising speed of 12 knots. At an efficient speed of 10 knots, the vessel provides a transoceanic range of 4,000 nautical miles.
With a shallow draft of 2.2 meters and a fuel capacity of 45,000 liters, the yacht is tailored for global adventures, including access to shallow bays. The vessel also features state-of-the-art navigation systems and a zero-speed stabilization system to enhance guest comfort while anchored.
Accommodation and Configuration
The Atlante Classic 35 can host up to 12 guests in six staterooms. The design includes a full-beam master suite, a VIP suite, and four guest cabins. Crew accommodations are optimized for a team of 10, situated in eight individual cabins to ensure both efficiency and privacy.
Important communal spaces consist of a main deck saloon, an upper deck sky lounge, and an open flybridge with outdoor dining. Additionally, the yacht features a beach club with designated storage for water toys, a gym, and a spa area.
Interior and Features
The interior design embraces a modern style, incorporating natural materials and neutral tones. The layout emphasizes open areas and functional flow, focusing on comfort and usability for long journeys.
Stabilization is accomplished through a zero-speed system, minimizing movement while anchored. The yacht’s systems and furnishings are designed for prolonged cruising, offering amenities that cater to both relaxation and active engagement.
Construction Schedule and Handover
Construction of the Atlante Classic 35 commenced in 2023. Following its recent unveiling, the vessel will undergo sea trials and final outfitting. The delivery to the owner is planned for early 2025.
