Reviva Refit: Mengi Yay Yachts Broadens Its Specialized Refit Offerings
With the increasing demand for all-encompassing yacht maintenance, Mengi Yay Yachts has officially launched Reviva Refit, a focused division dedicated to refits and maintenance. Although it was officially established in 2024, the Istanbul-based operation has been in operation since 2015, having successfully completed more than a dozen projects thus far.
Reviva Refit caters not only to ships built by Mengi Yay but also to yachts from various shipyards. A notable instance is the 60-meter Grand Rusalinia, which was initially delivered by Trinity Yachts in 2008. The yacht has returned to Reviva Refit for three consecutive winter maintenance cycles since 2023. The latest work encompassed hull refinements, engine maintenance, interior woodwork restoration, and selected technical upgrades.
Strategic Location and Resources
Situated in Istanbul, Reviva Refit enjoys an advantageous position near major Mediterranean cruising routes, making it a sensible option for offseason upkeep. The facility is equipped to handle both motor and sailing yachts up to 130 meters (426 feet) in overall length (LOA). The operation shares resources and expertise with Mengi Yay’s new-build sector, which has recently completed Serenissima II. In total, the workforce comprises over 250 professionals.
Diverse Clientele Beyond Mengi Yay
Initially, the refit projects primarily catered to Mengi Yay clients—six out of the first seven within the initial five years—but Reviva Refit has since expanded its appeal to a wider audience. Beyond Grand Rusalinia, yachts from Sunseeker and Princess Yachts have undergone various service initiatives at the facility. The division’s capacity to execute extensive refits for vessels from other manufacturers highlights its increasing stature in the industry.
Design Partnerships and Technical Proficiency
Reviva Refit collaborates with multiple naval architecture and design firms also engaged in Mengi Yay’s new constructions. This includes Ginton Naval Architects, Van Oossanen Naval Architects, Nuvolari-Lenard, and VYD Studio. This collaboration guarantees a cohesive design language and technical quality across both refit and new building endeavors.
With an expanding portfolio and a strategic location, Reviva Refit establishes Mengi Yay Yachts as a comprehensive service provider, prepared to support vessels throughout their lifecycle—from initial launch to ongoing maintenance and modernization.
