Dixon Yacht Design Unveils Innovative and Sustainable 53-Meter Yacht

Dixon Yacht Design Introduces Striking 53-Meter Sub-500-Gross-Ton Yacht

Dixon Yacht Design has launched an impressive new 53-meter yacht that seamlessly blends elegant design with top-tier sailing performance. This sub-500-gross-ton craft is crafted to deliver a lavish experience alongside outstanding sailing capabilities, all while featuring a discreet profile.

The vessel incorporates an open aft deck with fold-down bulwarks, facilitating a fluid connection with the water. A solar roof, equipped with 80 square meters of solar panels and ventilation louvers, is positioned above the cockpit, further boosting the yacht’s eco-friendly attributes.

Cutting-Edge Sailing Configuration

Designed as a sloop, this yacht features a robust sail area to displacement ratio, enhanced by a square-top mainsail. The headsails provide versatility, including a large overlapping genoa, a 105 percent blade, and an off-wind Code sail on a sub-deck furling unit. A removable delivery staysail is also attached to a mast lock with a sub-deck tensioner, ensuring peak performance under various wind conditions.

Opulent Interior and Eco-Conscious Design

The main deck features a salon that opens to the side decks via patio doors, fostering a spacious and open atmosphere. Below, the lower deck is designed on a single level above two battery banks that harness solar and regenerative energy. The owner’s suite is located at the aft, adjacent to four guest cabins, with a flexible fifth cabin positioned forward of the salon. The yacht accommodates as many as 10 crew members across five crew cabins.

Notably, the deck design offers a sophisticated harmony to the powerful hull. Helm stations on both the port and starboard provide fantastic visibility over the solar roof, while tender storage is conveniently placed beneath the foredeck. The aft deck space remains adaptable, allowing for various configurations based on the owner’s desires.

Sustainable Construction

Partially constructed from recycled aluminum alloy, this yacht prioritizes sustainability in its design. It includes a propeller energy recovery system and solar harvesting functionalities, appealing to those who value eco-friendly sailing options without sacrificing luxury, utility, or living space.
